The theme here seems to be a tendency towards extreme systematization.

Integralist Catholics for example, are also really into Scholasticism and the complex theology of Thomas Aquinas. IT workers deal with complex intricate code and have a significant minority of transgender individuals among them. Even the "professional managerial class" that counts a disproportionate number of socialists or Communists among its ranks seem to be really into "processes" and bureaucracy, the sort of people who designed the modern Disney park experience revolving around schedules and timemaxxing because it's what they work with. I remember research showing that engineers are overrepresented among Islamic terrorists, which likely involves the same dynamic.

I look forward to future installments where you discuss solutions. Because right now, you're reinforcing my conviction that extremist politics is downstream from mental health.
